My Vision
At HeadBrand Fitness, I believe joy in fitness is critical to building a healthy, happy life. Fitness isn’t just physical — it’s understanding your mental health and creating habits and communities that actually support the way you live.

This brand is a reflection of my own journey — and the one I’m still on. Everything here is built around three core pillars:
-
Fitness should be fun — find something you genuinely enjoy, and you’re far more likely to keep coming back to it with sustainable consistency.
-
#Team matters — bring value, support, and presence to your partners and teammates, and always ask: how does this help the team?
-
Mental health and mindful eating are part of the work — daily meditation and gratitude, self-knowledge, self-compassion, recovery, and a plant-forward, vegan-curious approach
The Headband?
The headband became a critical tool for me when I was first starting my weight-loss journey. It helped me feel more comfortable, confident, and motivated to get sweaty a few hours a week playing basketball.
Later, I started wearing it while commuting by bike to work. Over time, it became such a regular part of me that a boss eventually dubbed me “Headband Bill.”
I loved it.

As I build this brand, I want the headband — and HeadBrand Fitness — to represent an “I take care of myself” mindset.
If someone has a headband on of HeadBrand Fitness apparel, they’re preparing for something — or they’ve just done something that challenged them physically or mentally.
Whether you’re training for your next race, biking the lakefront, or staying grounded during a hectic day, I want to be part of your support system.

HeadBrand Fitness is a daily mindset.

Know yourself.
Do the things that support your progress.
Let go of self-doubt and past challenges.
Trust that you’ll get where you’re going.
And take time to appreciate life — and the people around you — by being present.

If you want to stay connected, I share a short monthly check-in called Bill of Health — reflections on fitness, mental health, habits, and community.

If a headband feels like a good first step, you can start there too.

Start with a headband.
